Why systems sweat
Moisture forms when a pipe or duct surface is colder than the dew point of the surrounding air. The insulation assembly must keep the outer surface warm enough and limit humid air from reaching the cold substrate.

Open seams, damaged facings and difficult details at fittings, valves, hangers, access doors and penetrations can admit humid air to cold surfaces.
A product or finish that does not suit washdown, UV, weather, traffic, temperature or humidity can absorb damage and lose the performance expected from the original specification.
Compressed blanket, voids, loose fitting coverage and discontinuous insulation change the thermal path and can create localized cold spots.
Failure-recovery workflow
We document visible conditions, identify affected areas and examine likely failure points. Where appropriate, we consider operating temperature, surrounding temperature and humidity, exposure, material and thickness.
Our scope can include containment, controlled demolition of affected insulation, bagging, disposal and cleaning of accessible pipe or duct surfaces before replacement.
We recommend revised material, thickness, vapor-control and jacketing details, then install the replacement system with attention to the original failure locations.

The project team remains responsible for any separate environmental assessment, occupant-protection plan or clearance requirements outside the insulation scope.
